Our first week in Australia was not a pleasant one. We landed on a Saturday morning at 1:30 am. Got to our accommodation and bed around 4 am. We didn’t end up sleeping too late as we wanted to avoid jet lag. But that was the least of what happened…
From the Sunday, both my wife and I got seriously ill. It was like a cold, multiplied by the flu and smacked up with jet lag. Long story short, it saw me down for most of the week. On Tuesday, I was practically comatose. Couldn’t walk, sleep, talk, nothing. Then around Wednesday I started bouncing back, but then it hit Emma.
It got her so bad that she had to sit in the shower to shower. She was just too weak and run down. I ended up taking her to the doctor on the Thursday, where it turns out her illness had evolved into a chest infection. Some antibiotics and loads of rest later… We’re still not 100% But we’re getting there.
I have had some interest with regards to models wanting to shoot around the Perth area, which is a good thing. Looking forward to that and seeing what we achieve.
In other news, we’ll be heading out with my in-laws this weekend, for a week long camping and caravanning trip along the coast. Emma and I will be in our tent, more than likely, so should really be good to finally get out and about.

We spent some time in the sun this morning, and let me tell you, the Australian sun is not something you should be playing around with. It’s a burner. I’ve probably only spent some of this morning, and 2 x 10 min sessions in the afternoon, and I am burnt. Can feel my skin tingling and tightening up.
Top Tip: Don’t fuck around with the Australian Sun. And Wear Sunscreen all the time.
I have to wait for 8pm for the internet at our accommodation to change over to UnLimited and UnShaped, so I can upload a couple of photos to this blog post.
Other than that… No real news. Just waiting for our adventures to begin.
