Coming to you straight from my iPad on this semi sunny Wednesday. I hope you are all well. Or at least the one person that I know reads these things on the odd occasion, Nic *insert applause here*
Where are all the updates? Why have you been so quiet? What is the meaning of life?
Easy tigers… One question at a time. Things have have been moving along steadily, behind the scenes. Working on several new tutorials. Need to upload some images from the FIA Rallycross and British Superbikes. Although I did upload a handful of images to the Latest Images gallery on the home page.
This coming weekend hopefully sees me at Lydden Hill again, for some more drifting. Should be testing out a 500mm lens and a teleconvertor for my current 200mm, to give it some more reach. Then I am also back to testing some different settings like dropping the ISO down at least half of what it was set @ for the Superbikes. Want to try out some exposure compensation, if needed.
Next weekend potentially sees me down at Thruxton for another round of the British Superbikes. Never been to that track before, so looking forward to it.
Can’t believe how quickly time is going. We are already almost half way through April of 2013 and it doesn’t feel as it I have “accomplished” anything that I have wanted to for the last… 5 or 6 years. Still feel like I am standing on the same spot. Know what I mean?
In other news, I have scrapped the idea of getting a goPro action camera. Why? Because, currently, I do not live a rock n roll lifestyle. I don’t surf, don’t own a bike or bicycle, don’t sky dive, cliff jump, do any form of racing and pretty much all I do is work, eat, sleep, eat, shoot, eat, edit, eat. I don’t feel that those are the kinds of videos that people want to see. So instead I have decided to get something towards my camera or towards the portable studio set up. At the moment I have my eyes set on a portable back drop system, with a few coloured and pattern back drops. I want to shoot more models than last year (off to a slow start) and sometimes location/composition can be an issue for me.
Another item I want to look into is a light meter for these studio shoots. But I am still in two minds about that. Will keep you updated.
Other than that? Not much… There have been a few more likes for my photography Facebook Page which is cool.
Also, for the tutorials I have been playing around with making videos. Have more or less narrowed it down to what recording device to use. Just need to spend some quality time making one and see how we go from there. But that may be a little while before it is up and running.
Let me leave you with this passing thought: Why did the chicken really cross the road?
